Registration for UMAC 2008 is open to both members and non-members of UMAC.
The registration fee covers all conference materials, lunches, delegate pack and badge, refreshments (tea, coffee, water etc) during sessions, and two evening receptions.

It does not include costs of the optional conference dinner, accommodation, travel to the conference venue, or the optional visit to Liverpool on 20 Sept. Details of these are given separately.

Accommodation

Accommodation options are listed separately and there is a range of choices to suit different budgets. The recommended conference hotel is at the University Conference Centre (www.meeting.co.uk/dayshotel/) which is located near the main railway station and has a direct bus service to the conference venue.

Conference Dinner

An optional conference dinner will be held in a local Chinese or Indian restaurant on 18 September. The cost of this will be £30.00 (not including drinks).

Visit to Liverpool, Saturday 20 September

Liverpool is European City of Culture in 2008 and is hosting many exhibitions and cultural activities (www.liverpool08.com/). It is located about an hour from Manchester. An optional full day visit to Museums and other institutions in Liverpool is being organised, at a cost of £10.00 (to cover travel but not lunch).

Post-conference tour

Some UMAC members have expressed interest in the possibility of a post-conference tour to Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland (from 21 to 24 September). Please indicate whether you would be interested in hearing more about this.
